News: HEALTHCAREseeker.com Gets Joint Commission Gold Seal for the 5th Consecutive Year
June 13, 2012
Alyssa Bartels, Director of Public Relations at HEALTHCAREseeker.com interviewed Stephen Halasnik, President of HEALTHCAREseeker.com on getting approved by JCAHO for the 5th year.
HEALTHCAREseeker.com is pleased to announce that for the 5th year in a row we have received the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval™ as a certified healthcare staffing agency. This signifies our dedication to providing safe, high-quality care, treatment and services. It also shows our consistent compliance of credentials and emphasizes our commitment to following JCAHO’s clinical practice guidelines. HEALTHCAREseeker was one of the first to apply for the Gold Seal of Approval™ since its establishment in October of 2005.
President of HEALTHCAREseeker.com, Stephen Halasnik, commented, “I know the Joint Commission audit is challenging for most company’s but we’re so well organized that it really didn’t require many improvements to our existing process. Only a small percentage of staffing companies are JCAHO approved, and we are very pleased to say we’re one of them.”
JCAHO came in and performed an extensive analysis on how we confirm our staff’s qualifications, how we monitor performance and place our staff, how our problem procedure is executed, what our background checking and credential upkeep process is, etc. The procedure can take as long as two days to conduct and it’s not easy to get approved every year, although the Gold Seal of Approval™ is incredibly valuable to have because clients prefer to work with companies that are Joint Commission approved.
The Joint Commission is a non-profit organization that accredits and certifies more than 19,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. Their mission states, “To continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.” They are recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects the commitment an organization has on meeting performance standards.
