HEALTHCAREseeker.com has named Bobbie Karlsson, Traveler of the Month, for January 2009. Traveler of the Month is a new initiative HEALTHCAREseeker.com began this month to honor their hard-working Travel Nurses. HEALTHCAREseeker.com’s Traveler of the Month will be a Travel Nurse who is highly skilled, readily adaptable and someone who has a compelling reason to Travel. The award recipient will be someone who provides fantastic service to Hospitals and Patients they work with as a Traveler.
"Bobbie exemplifies a unique type of Traveler and we know she is an asset to our company and the Hospitals she serves,” explained HEALTHCAREseeker.com President, Stephen Halasnik."
Bobbie Karlsson, a Mississippi resident, has had over 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. But in 2006, Bobbie Karlsson desired more from her career and life experiences. She began to speak with other Travel Nurses about the possibilities and opportunities offered by Travel Nurse agencies. After interviewing with a few different agencies, Bobbie discovered that the average agency only cared about what she could do for their company and not what they could do for her.
"All of my expectations changed when I spoke to Hope Nisler at HEALTHCAREseeker.com,” stated Bobbie. “Hope and I just clicked and HEALTHCAREseeker.com offered a large variety of Travel assignments all of which Hope seemed to know much better than anyone else."
Soon after they spoke, Bobbie chose HEALTHCAREseeker.com as her Travel Nurse agency and Hope as her personal Recruiter. Bobbie exclaimed, "And boy, I really made the right choice."
Bobbie is now on her 4th assignment with HEALTHCAREseeker.com. After many positive experiences, Bobbie offers a few suggestions to fellow Nurses for a successful Traveling Nurse career.
"It is imperative that a Traveler has chemistry with their Recruiter. It is also important to familiarize yourself with individual agencies, be conscious of where their specific Travel assignment locations may be and make sure the Recruiter knows the assignment well. Lastly, make sure you know how much each position pays HERALTHCAREseeker.com did the best at keeping the pay simple and not complicated. HEALTHCAREseeker.com and Hope have been fantastic at all of this," Bobbie said.
Bobbie is also a mother and enjoys fly fishing, camping and other outdoor activities in her free time. She is someone who loves new adventures. She explained that her Recruiter, Hope, gave her certain assignments that best fit her personality and allowed her to experience new things.
"Hope really did a good job of understanding what I like to do for fun," said Bobbie. "She would explain in-detail the areas she had Travel positions in; I call her my walking Trivia book. I have fly fished, camped and done so many incredible things in some of the most unforgettable places."
But, Hope isn’t the only HEALTHCAREseeker.com employee who has had a positive affect on Bobbie’s life. She is thankful for the entire Travel Nurse agency.
"HEATLHCAREseeker.com’s housing coordinator, Jennifer, their Human Resources Manager, Linda and many other HEALTHCAREseeker employees have all helped me along the way. Whenever I have a question, someone always gets back to me quickly."
President, Stephen Halasnik appreciates Bobbi’s services and is thankful for his resourceful staff.
"Bobbie is special and we will always work extremely hard to find a job that suits her. She epitomizes the type of professional we love to work with. Our goal is to provide "Rewarding Travel Experiences" and Bobbie is just one example of a Travelers who works for us that has had a rewarding experience," said Halasnik. "I also know that our team loves to hear when a Traveler feels we have done a good job. As a company, we try to make sure our Recruiters have all of the tools and skills to professionally assist each Travel Nurse. We know that Travelers work directly with a Recruiter not HEALTHCAREseeker.com and we are confident that our team of Recruiters are one of the best in the industry."
